Simple Transcript – Copy & Save for Google Meet ("Simple Transcript", "the extension") is a Chrome extension published by Entech Solutions. This policy explains what the extension handles and what happens to it.

In short: the extension keeps your meeting transcripts in your own browser, on your own computer. It sends them nowhere. Entech Solutions never receives them, and has no server that could.

What the extension handles

When you are in a Google Meet call with the extension installed, it reads the following from the Google Meet page and saves it as a meeting:

It also saves a few settings, such as where you placed the transcript panel and its size.

The extension does not record audio or video. It does not read your email, calendar, contacts, browsing history, or any site other than Google Meet.

Where it is kept

Everything above is stored in Chrome's local storage for the extension, on the computer and in the Chrome profile where the call took place. It is not uploaded, synchronised or backed up by the extension.

What is sent, and to whom

Nothing is sent to Entech Solutions or to any third party. The extension has no server, no account system, no analytics, no advertising and no cookies.

The only site the extension communicates with is Google Meet itself, inside the Meet page you already have open and under your own Google session: it reads what Meet delivers to that page, and it may ask Meet to send the list of participants again. Your use of Google Meet is covered by Google's own terms and privacy policy.

When you use Copy or Download, the transcript goes to your clipboard or to a file on your computer. What you do with that copy is up to you.

How long it is kept, and how to delete it

Other people in your calls

A transcript includes what other participants say and their names. You are responsible for telling the people you meet with, and for having any consent that the law where you and they are requires for recording or transcribing a conversation.

Permissions

PermissionWhy the extension needs it

Chrome Web Store user data policy

The extension's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. The information described above is used only to provide the transcript to you. It is not sold, not transferred to anyone, not used for advertising, and not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

Children

The extension is not directed at children, and Entech Solutions collects no information from anyone, of any age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
